SATIN COLOR CHART

Satin Fabric

Satin Fabric is sleek and glossy on one side and dull on the other. Silk Satin has long been respected as a finer fabric due to the fact that it is woven from a filament fiber. A Satin Fabric weave refers to a weaving technique where either the warp or weft predominates on the surface, resulting in a smooth hand. In contrast, sateen fabrics are produced with a similar weave however staple fibers are used so the result is not the same.

VELVET COLOR CHART

 Velvet Fabric
Velvet Fabric is a seductively lustrous material with a featherlike softness and gorgeous sheen. It offers outstanding durability, insulation and wrinkle resistance. Polyester Velvet Fabric is crafted from the combination of carboxylic acid and alcohol. The chemical reaction forms polyester in a molten form, which then cools, becomes brittle and is cut into tiny chips. These chips are melted and placed in a funnel-like contraption called a spinneret, which feeds the molten chips through its narrow holes at the bottom, then presses and spins them into a single strand, forming the polyester yarn. The yarn is in an upright looped configuration that is evenly cut and distributed for a smooth, tufted surface. Create evening gowns, blazers and skirts of sleek elegance with our alluring collection of polyester velvet.

MICROFIBER COLOR CHART

ORGANZA COLOR CHART

Organza Fabric

Organza Fabric is characteristically sheer, lightweight and crisp, and it works well in puffy sleeves, tiered ball gowns and tutus. Woven from lustrous silk yarns, Organza Fabric has an incredible sheen in addition to its particular volume that allows the fabric to stand apart from the body. While less stiff than an organdy, organza works well for both facings and interfacings of bridal dresses and other opulent ensembles.

COTTON COLOR CHART

Cotton Fabric

Cotton Fabric, most simply put, is the fabric that breathes. Made from a soft, fluffy staple fiber, Cotton grows in a boll around the seeds of the plant, (yes, boll, i.e. the rounded seeds capsule of plants such as cotton or flax). The fibers of cotton are hollow and upon close inspection resemble twisted ribbon. These fibers are usually woven or knit into fabric by means of the two most common methods: plain weaves & twill weaves. Know for absorbent qualities, most cottons will retain 24-27 times its own weight in water. Stronger when wet, this fiber absorbs and releases perspiration quickly, thus allowing the fabric to “breathe”. Cotton tends to take to dyes easily, can withstand high temperatures without disintegrating, can be ironed to combat it’s wrinkle-prone nature, stands up to extreme use and abrasion all while wearing well. Recognized as one of the world's most popular fabrics, in Cotton alone, Mood carries 40+ varieties of fabric, mounting to 3110+ products.

LINEN COLOR CHART

Linen  Fabric

Linen  Fabric is a gorgeous material that is as durable as it is luxurious. It is made from the cellulose fibers of the flax plant “Linum Usitatissimum,” from which the fabric gets its name. The production of Linen Woven Fabric involves flax fibers being spun into a fine yarn, then being wound onto a spool and slightly dampened to keep the fibers matted. The yarn is then woven into sheets for a refined finish.

CANVAS COLOR CHART

Canvas Fabric

Canvas Fabric is an impeccably durable material with a crisp drape and sensational texture. It’s crafted from spun linen fibers that are then combed and plain woven in a basic crisscross formation to form sheets. At Mood, we offer a gorgeous collection of linen Canvas Fabrics that are perfect for home decor projects and will give any room a fierce flair.
